OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM
The Liaison family includes hundreds of creative
professionals led by a few brave souls.
Dave is the visionary and tireless leader of Liaison, a company that grew out of his passion for serving others. He recognized the need and had the drive to connect the dots between creative talent and the companies that need it.
Dave graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a computer science degree and spent the early part of his career working in prepress and digital imaging before founding Liaison in 1991. Over the years, he has served on the Board of Directors for several volunteer organizations including the local chapters of the Austin Advertising Federation and the Printing and Imaging Association of Mid-America, the Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and E4 Youth. Dave was voted “Ad Man of the Year” by the Austin Advertising Federation and presented with their Silver Service Award. He was given the “Volunteer of the Year Award” by the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and selected as “Citizen of the Year” and “Westlake Hero” by the Westlake Chamber of Commerce.
@life Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Dave is an amateur woodworker specializing in cabinetry and woodturning. He enjoys traveling the world with his wife Susan and their two sons.
A teacher by trade with more than a decade of human resources experience, Mora is a skilled listener who leads by example in her service to Liaison employee and client satisfaction. Employees have a true champion in Mora as she makes note of employee professional strengths and takes immense pride in advising on all HR topics to meet the needs of clients and employees alike.
Armed with a degree in writing intensive English and elementary education from Marquette University, Mora parlayed her transferrable skills into HR management roles, led by her passion to help people. In short, Mora is the compassionate force that empowers employees to keep the Liaison engine burning.
Mora moved to Austin from the DFW area, but spent her life moving to new locations around the US and Europe. She enjoys spending time with her amazing family, reading books, traveling, movies, hiking, and boxing (doing, not watching!). She and her family share their home with a beautiful and affectionate Snowshoe Siamese cat and a slightly crazy yet brilliant Jindo dog, and various fish.
Amy is the financial brain of Liaison, responsible for managing and operating the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash management, general ledger, reporting/forecasting and, last but certainly not least, payroll, making her the fan favorite of Liaison’s employees. This Waco native always knew accounting was her vocational path, proven by her summa cum laude status upon graduating from Baylor University with a dual degree in finance and accounting. She also received her CPA license in 1994. Who needs a calculator when you have Amy nearby?
Amy tossed her graduation hat in the air in 1991, left Waco for Austin and can’t imagine living anywhere else. When Amy isn’t whipping Liaison’s books into shape, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two daughters, one son, three dogs, two cats and a partridge in a pear tree. The biggest animal lover at Liaison, she once ran a cat rescue nonprofit called Amy Beth Kitties. Amy now fosters dogs and cats with Second Chance Mason Animal Rescue, nursing the pets to good health and adopting them out to fill her friends’ and family’s homes with love in the form of four-legged children.
As the Director of Talent Strategy, Scott is driven to pay it forward every day. Early in his career someone gave him a chance, helping him bridge his skills and ambition into an opportunity that was mutually beneficial for his career and the company. This is his daily motivator at Liaison.
He harnesses the power of his training in mechanical engineering and commercial art to herd creative cats on the daily. Scott has a wide range of experience as a metaphorical shepherd, working in a variety of roles including Creative Director in Educational Publishing, consulting with National Geographic School Publishing, and Project Management with Industrial Designers at Dell.
Scott followed his brother from the frigid plains of Minnesota to Austin, and has been here ever since. At home Scott actually herds two kids and two cats. He volunteers with E4 Youth, an Austin-based organization that connects underserved students in the area to multifaceted creative industries. In his spare time he enjoys road biking, long boarding, and can often be found sketching and dabbling in silk screening.
Kristina joined the Liaison family in 2019 as the Studio Manager. As a certified project manager, she enjoys the fast-paced nature of project-based work, developing relationships with clients, and solving the puzzle of scope, schedule, and budget. In prior roles, Kristina led marketing and public relations efforts for a consulting firm, an arts education organization, and a human services nonprofit. Additionally, she has extensive experience on product marketing teams in a variety of sectors including oil and gas, financial services, insurance, and information technology.
Leaving behind the tropical humidity of the Gulf Coast, Kristina moved to Austin to be near the vibrant arts culture. You can usually find her at the Alamo Drafthouse, Austin Film Society, one of the city’s many live music venues, or volunteering with local nonprofits.
After starting out as a graphic designer more than 20 years ago, David continues to follow his passion for creativity by managing Liaison’s onsite creative services group in St. Paul, MN. David and his team provide a variety of creative Marcom services including graphic design, web development, digital imaging and video, and more. He works closely with the key stakeholders in each client division to make sure our team is meeting their high expectations and delivering extraordinary service at all times.
A proud graduate of the University of St. Thomas, David majored in Advertising with minors in Marketing and Spanish. He continues to stay involved with the university by mentoring students who are considering careers in marketing or advertising.
As a year-round bicycle commuter in the frozen Minnesota northland, David loves his 10-mile commute, especially when there is fresh fallen snow and he can plow through on his studded tires. When not riding, he spends time advocating for safer streets for pedestrians and cyclists. He also loves to spend time on remote, back-country canoe and camping trips in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. David is also on a competitive bocce ball league.
Susan is a marketing professional with over 20 years of experience delivering successful marketing and communications programs for companies and clients across numerous industries. She creatively leverages her experience working for both F100 corporate marketing organizations and small/startup firms, driving high-level client relationships and successful marketing strategies. With past roles on both the client and agency sides developing strategy and executing all aspects, Susan thrives in fast-paced environments where she wears multiple hats. Her background as an Accounts Supervisor and a Managing Partner of a marketing consulting firm make her an ideal fit as Senior Account Manager for our work at one of the largest professional services firms in the world.
While her family roots are in Texas, Susan spent much of her life moving around the US and England. She is an avid traveler, cook, foodie and photographer and loves to combine her passions, exploring the beauty and cultures of the world with her longtime boyfriend. The exposure to various people and places globally enables her to see multiple perspectives and to engage meaningfully with anyone. Susan also enjoys spending time with her teenage nephew, who calls her Kiki and who turned her on to the Great British Baking Show when he was 8. Together, they experiment with all kinds of baking projects and share their results via photos and videos tagged with #kikiskitchenexploits.
Since 1991, Liaison has connected the heart of creative with the mind of business. We’re the connection—the liaison—between these two worlds and we love it. We bring our passion for exceptional creative and our commitment to service to bear on every project, for every client. Let us show you how you can do more with your Marcom budget, faster and with the highest quality.
We don’t exist in a vacuum. Liaison lives within the larger creative community, advancing the creative culture and celebrating the people who make it special—like E4 Youth, an Austin-area nonprofit that connects creative youth with careers in the graphic arts industries.
The Liaison team is made up of hundreds of creative marketing professionals from all walks of life. Our management team values diversity and inclusiveness and they work diligently to support every Liaison team member.
