Compensation: Based on 4-5 years of experience.

Hours/Duration: full-time, ongoing

Liaison Creative + Marketing has an ongoing full-time career opportunity for a Web Designer to join our team onsite with our cutting-edge Fortune 1000 high-tech client in Southwest Austin, a world leader in high performance computing. As part of Liaison's onsite creative services team, you'll collaborate with marketing stakeholders, other designers, and developers to deliver high-quality site content experiences, owning the day to day maintenance of content on the main corporate site and other key web properties. This is a good fit for someone looking to leverage 4-6 years of Web Design into a creatively stimulating yet stable corporate setting who has solid CMS and responsive design chops, and a tech-friendly portfolio. You'll need to be Austin-based to be considered for this role, although work can often be done remotely, even after COVID safety restrictions have ended.

  • Design graphics, concepts and page layouts for the Drupal framework
  • Offer creative leadership and drive user experience improvements throughout multiple interactive assets
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate motion graphics and add other animated elements to existing sites
  • One third of the role is content management
  • Master content management system (currently Drupal 8.x), content entry, corporate site maintenance, participate in web ops discussions and meetings, perform all tasks and duties as assigned by manager
  • Have an intimate understanding of the AMD website (content and structure), processes and people
  • Creating multiple versions of imagery in various size formats
  • Web page layout construction
  • Understanding of web page accessibility and usability
  • Exceed expectations of internal customers and fellow team members monitor your time and always be moving projects forward
  • Look ahead and plan for problem areas
  • Assist management with developing best practices and business processes for content management
  • Onsite availability in SW Austin on short notice is required, although often work can be done remotely, so this full-time ongoing role won't be a daily commute for the right candidate

How to be a top candidate for this job:

  • 4-5 years of Graphic Design experience in an advertising/marketing agency or in-house corporate team
  • An online portfolio showcasing corporate tech-friendly design skill, with demonstrated strength in digital banners, CMS interface, and responsive design
  • Since this position will need to be at least a significant portion onsite in southwest Austin whenever safe (most likely at some point later in 2021), we are only considering candidates with immediate local availability.   • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in website maintenance and content management preferred
  • Technical: Basic HTML, CSS, other programming languages a plus, basics of web design and content management, proficient in MS Suite- Office, Outlook, etc.
  • Non-technical: Eye for detail, ability to multi-task, excellent time management, ability to work independently, doesn't mind repetitive type tasks
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required
