Overview: Coordinate translation projects in German, French, Simplified Chinese, or Brazilian Portuguese for a technology leader in Austin

Location: Southwest Austin

Compensation: Based on 2-3 years of experience

Hours/Duration: Full-time (40 hr/wk) ongoing employee. Will be onsite after COVID-19 restrictions lifted

Liaison has an opportunity for a Localization Producer with our client on their World Wide Digital Marketing Content & Localization team. This role focuses on the management of the localization of marketing, sales, and product content in partnership with content creators, global localization vendors, and regional marketers. This role is not translating the content; however, we are seeking individuals with broad multicultural experience who are fully fluent (reading, writing, speaking) in one of these languages: German, French, Simplified Chinese, or Brazilian Portuguese. Must have prior project management experience.

  • Manage localization projects end-to-end, working closely with language specialists, internal business partners, external vendors and other departments in marketing and sales
  • Plan localization efforts, manage timelines and expectations, coordinate resources, and interact with multiple departments
  • Collect business and content requirements from internal customers, write project plans and drive project schedules
  • Manage projects by working closely with internal project teams and global localization partners to establish workflow expectations, align on progress milestones, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Leads projects assigning tasks, tracking project progress, updating project team and management, alerting all appropriate parties when issues arise, and driving issue resolution
  • Identify and prioritize work and call out roadblocks
  • Collaborate & prioritize with the brand, product, and regions thru the steps of the localization journey from scope to finish with the goal of providing a quality customer & brand experience globally
  • Work with content creators, brand strategy owners, and regional activation teams to define and streamline processes upstream and drive best practices for globalizing content
  • Write, edit, review and maintain localization process documentation and provide training to new content owners

How to be a top candidate for this job:

  • 2-3 years of experience in localization, working with multicultural content and managing projects
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Native-level fluency in English and another language is a requirement. Preferred languages include German, French, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese
  • Experience working in another country is desired
  • Demonstrated expertise with translation management and content management systems
